Harmony Fire has further added to its growing tally of influential public sector frameworks by securing a place on Fusion21’s £800 million Building Safety & Compliance Framework. The design and build fire safety specialist secured a coveted place on each of the three national lots it targeted: Passive Fire Protection, Fire Suppression and Active Fire Safety.
The four-year framework is open to all ‘Public Bodies’ seeking a flexible, efficient and values-based procurement pathway for vital building safety and compliance services. The framework serves, but is not restricted to, residential, education, local authority, health and central government sectors.
With a projected value of £290 million, the Passive Fire Protection lot sees Harmony Fire shortlisted for the design, supply, installation and maintenance of passive fire safety works, including fire doors and fire stopping. Across the £40 million Fire Suppression (Sprinkler & Mist) Systems lot, the scope includes design, supply, installation and maintenance of fire suppression systems. The £90 million Active Fire Safety lot includes fire detection and alarm systems, fire evacuation systems, smoke alarms, emergency lighting, fire-fighting equipment, sprinkler systems, wet risers, dry risers and Automatic Opening Vents (AOV).
Connor Mitchell, Director at Harmony Fire, commented: “Strong government focus and the actions of the Regulator (BSR) have made building safety a priority issue that directly impacts senior leadership teams. Prioritising the safety of residents and workforces requires urgent action across ageing and often complex built environments, so the ability to access flexible call-off options with fire safety experts is a key benefit of the Fusion21 framework.”
Peter Beck, Framework Manager at Fusion21 said: “We are delighted to welcome all of the new suppliers onto Fusion21’s Building Safety & Compliance Framework, including Harmony Fire. The tender process was highly competitive and has identified the best suppliers for our members to manage and maintain safe buildings and demonstrate building compliance.”
